About the Founder
Hi beauties! I’m Lucy Vannelli, the dreamer and founder of Dress Scoop and designer for L.V. COUTURE.
I created Dress Scoop to speak to brides & babes who wanted to go their own way, not conform to the traditional bridal shop that carries the standard list of designers. Dress Scoop is a vision where fashion, trends & design come together in the most perfect world.
How it all began…
My love for dresses and passion for design began at a very early age. I remember reading my mom’s Vogue magazines, tearing off the pages and posting them on my wall, and sketching for hours. I was always drawn to fashion and bridal equally. I loved the edge of fashion, and I loved the romance of bridal couture. As I was studying Fashion Design in Montreal, everyone would always ask me the same question “Where can I find the perfect dress?” And so the story of Dress Scoop began. It was an idea I scribbled on paper, over and over again. I wanted to create a new way of shopping for the fashion bride. In 2013, I decided to launch Dress Scoop. The vision didn’t stop there. I also wanted to create a true atelier space, inspired by haute couture workshops in Paris, a space where I can create endlessly. So in 2018, I decided to launch L.V. Couture; the Atelier part of Dress Scoop. This is where brides get to experience a bespoke process.
Dress Scoop has become more than just an idea now, it’s a true place of happiness, heart, and authenticity.
For me, it’s where love lives.
